Friends, Home

Finally Beginning

On the 25th of June, 2009, our world cried. At first, we lost Farrah Fawcett, but later to find that we had lost our King of Pop, Michael Jackson.  The day began with me prepping for my final exam in Microbiology (eww, gross) and just getting out of there. This is the official beginning of my summer, since I only had a week off between the end of the semester and the start of classes again. SUMMER, HERE I COME!

I left and went home. My mother’s birthday was the day before, so my brother and I gave her a box from Kays 🙂

With this ring, I have also decided that I am selling my beloved phone.  It was a great time we had together, but financially it is not in my best interest.

We took my mom out for dinner after the gifting. I actually ran into Rob and his family while we were there 😛 That’s when we first heard about MJ.

So the day was great up until that news.

The next day was pretty exciting. Besides listening to Michael Jackson music all day with Jenn, we ran errands and went down to my house at school to pick up some things. From there, we went to Joji‘s ^^

I’ve been hearing about Joji since about 2006, so it was pretty exciting to meet him.  He’s a half-Jap amazing jerk. Haha. He spent the last year in Japan, and so I envy him to an extent.

We started off by playing Floating Candy, but just switched to Kings.  That was going pretty until towards the end of the 2nd round.  Jenn ran off to the bathroom, and as she did that, I started feeling kinda sick and left the room.  Jenn unfortunately locked the bathroom door and I ended up puking right there >_< I tried so hard to keep it down.  I eventually got in, with only a handful of what was left, and finished my business and cleaned up. I sobered up pretty much right there.  I just felt AWFUL for doing that to Joji‘s floor (and he even cleaned it up). That made me feel terrible and I helped him finish up the cleaning as Jenn was hanging over the toilet.

That aside, we asian bonded. I’m his bitch :O I like him. He’s my new BFF.

I ended up getting to bed at around 3 something in the morning, and then getting up at 6:30.  Eventually, we made our way to IHOP which was yummy, but Jenn still wasn’t feeling well so it wasn’t as fun as it might have been. Joji drew a fantastic picture on the back of the placemat (it is officially framed, btw) and then we hung around for a bit before leaving. It was a pretty great time, in my opinion. Good times with great people.

Being there though, all the little Japanese things Joji had brought back so many memories.  It’s sparked my love of Japan again. That night, Joji was speaking with his mother (who is where he gets his asian from) in <<Nihongo>> and that was seriously the best eargasm I’ve had in a long time.  I was laying on the floor of the bathroom at the time and literally rolled over towards the door to listen.  I wish I were fluent enough to hold a surprise Japanese conversation. Haha. Watashi wa neji desu ^________^ But yeah, I’ve been listening to all my T.M. Revolution, Iceman and rest of my J-Pop collection since and it just feels so right. Thank you, for bringing me back.

All I do now a days is hang out with Jenn. That’s what happened last summer too. We’re the only jobless ones and get along fantastically, so why not.  We went down to the city to visit the kids at orientation. Met up with Jake and got some free food.  Then met up with Janine and eventually trekked our way back home.  I have to go back down in the morning to see my advisor, and maybe go to the Crayola Factory with Jenn, Kelsey and Devin? We’ll see.

I’m working on a new album too. I like the way the NextGen gallery works with WordPress, but the function isn’t as friendly as my other one (I’m just more used to it) and there are some features that I can configure on that one that I can’t here. Check it out! Like everything else, it’s a work in progress.

Dreams

The Hut

I remember being at Pizza Hut with Jenn, 2 guys and maybe a little kid. We’re sitting there enjoying food and chat. There was this smaller asian waiter guy walking around taking orders, and we had our guy. Not too far from us was this gut sitting by himself eating. He looked kinda weird in the lonely disturbed manner, but we weren’t going to have interaction.  On the other end of the dining room, there was a table of asian guys that were kinda being jackasses and a table of 2 guys in the back.

With that table, the one guy was being very suspicious. He left the building for a little while. I decided to get some air, but I saw that he had just killed someone! I started going back in but then i see outside there was the creepy loner guy with the dead asian waiter laying across his booth! He looked at me and started saything how he didn’t mean for it to happen, but he just couldn’t control it. There was that sign of remorse, but I was still scared.

I get back inside and take a seat on the other end, and the person I was sitting next to was like “Aw, now I have to sit over in this corner by myself. That’s lame.” But I was sitting there just freaking out at what I just saw. The table of asian guys were kinda mocking me and Jenn told me about it, but I didn’t care because it was serious. I kept trying to recall the 2 guys incase I would have to  pick them out from a line-up or just share what I knew.  I kept imagining seeing these missing persons flyers and knowing exactly what happened to them.

We left at some point and ended up at the the suspicious guy’s house. We ran into his dad and started talking to him. We asked him about his garbage that was sitting out and suddenly he was like, I don’t remember having all this trash. He starts pulling up bags and towards the bottom is a foreign garbage bag. We pull that out and laying inside was a body. The body.

I don’t remember what happend after, but I went into another dream. We were in my house and there was a little kid, Johnny and Missy, others (unclear).  I had my legs resting out on this other chair and the little kid was playing around. He started approaching me and I asked him if he thought he could jump over my legs.  He took a running start and cleared it. It was pretty cool for a tiny kid.  Bad idea for babysitting though.  Then I see Johnny doing some ridiculous dumb stuff and I start filming, as I do. The recording was through a little cup (weird) and so we were watching the playback through the cup (like reading tea leaves in Harry Potter).  We enjoyed it. It was a good laugh.  I had another dream and came back to this one and wanted to show Johnny and Missy because they missed it earlier, but then we started getting distracted and didn’t even get to see it.

The third dream, I remember there was me, some guy, a woman and her husband or boyfriend, some minor others.  The guy and woman were having an affair, but she didn’t love her hubo (thats my hubby boyfriend abbrev.) anymore and they were going to tell him tonight about it.  We had set up a christmas tree earlier, but someone said we should move it out to the entry way of the house.  The chick thought that was the perfect time to get him out there by themselves and tell him.  As we’re moving the tree, some things start falling off and we have to re-do them.  But then she finally tells him, and he wasn’t shocked. I’m standing there the whole time working on this tree. A little girl is helping me, and we’re pulling these metal things off that no longer have branches. Something, there’s more but I can’t remember.

Drip Drip

So besides waking up to a soaked bed from the leaking skylight window, I had some memorable moments in my dreams. I wonder if I’ll be able to recall most of it by this time of day.

I remember going down 113 (road) towards my house. I’m with 2 other people, but I run into Annette to tell her about a crazy dream I had last night. The dream itself may have been something prior to me waking up from the rain, but I can’t say. I start telling her about how it was about Alexis Bledel and Lauren Graham (Gilmore Girls!) It was something about how they both gained weight, but they were still so sexy? And I turn to the guy behind me and was kind of in shock that I remembered the dream.

At another part, i was with Jenn in what seemed like my house.   We were in Janine’s room, but in the front part, and there was a 2nd level.  I see this little car drive by, its like an old school BMW (but I can’t remember now! ahhh) and I poitn it out to Jenn. She’s so excited.  I move down to the 2nd floor of the room and I remember there were all sorts of vents for sale. Like the kind in the floor that blows air at you.  But there were all sorts of different kinds. Super cool ones and regular ones.  I remember looking at the one model and I was like, “Oh, they already replaced it with the newer model!” I think it was like the sony speakers I wanted that they don’t sell anymore.

That’s all I have right now.

The Exception

I have a lot to write, kinda. So we’ll see how far this gets. I have things to be doing (that I should be, but just don’t seem to want to. haha).

1. My phone came in 2 days after the order. It’s wonderful.

2. I wanted to partition my hard drive so I can run Windows 7, but I ran into some trouble with some limitations. I tried some things to get around it and ended up wiping out my entire hard drive >_< After the shock and coming to terms with what happened (There goes about 150gb of my life u_u), I put Vista back on, and then was able to partition the drive (since there’s nothing there now. haha, yay.) Then My brother’s friend came over with the DVD and now I’m dual-booting Windows 7! It’s pretty great.  I didn’t have much of an issue with Vista, personally, but 7 is nice. I’m just in the works of kinda getting settled again.

3. I just watched He’s Just Not That Into You. I liked it. For the purpose of that romantic comedy business, it was good, but only if that’s your thing (and you’re one of those 27 Dresses or Ps. I Love You kinda person). Anyway, I have this total dreamy outlook on life, and maybe it’s not such a horrible thing; but in any case, all the wonderful stories you hear are never the case. never. unless you’re the exception.

4. Speaking of love. Last week was quite a wild day/night. Memorial Day weekend. I was with my friend Jenn all day (we’re always together) and we decided to make a trip to Costco Wholesale! I love that place. But that day we were kinda just wantering and walked by the cell phone booth.  The guys there were like, “Hey, you guys interested in getting a cell phone?”  Jenn wasn’t, but I always am 🙂 So we stopped to chat and all that fun stuff.  We were talking and the one kid who was working there (Justin) was telling how he has this crappy phone (ironic for working at a cell phone hut) and we joked about jacking a digital camera and duct-taping it to the back. It was fun times but then he said if we had any questions, we should give him a call. He wrote his name and number on the card and handed it to me O_O! Gasp. We walked away and it was just kinda hilarious. [It gets long…click for more] More shenanigans? Oh, what a LONNNG night it’ll be!
