Friends, General

The Exception

I have a lot to write, kinda. So we’ll see how far this gets. I have things to be doing (that I should be, but just don’t seem to want to. haha).

1. My phone came in 2 days after the order. It’s wonderful.

2. I wanted to partition my hard drive so I can run Windows 7, but I ran into some trouble with some limitations. I tried some things to get around it and ended up wiping out my entire hard drive >_< After the shock and coming to terms with what happened (There goes about 150gb of my life u_u), I put Vista back on, and then was able to partition the drive (since there’s nothing there now. haha, yay.) Then My brother’s friend came over with the DVD and now I’m dual-booting Windows 7! It’s pretty great.  I didn’t have much of an issue with Vista, personally, but 7 is nice. I’m just in the works of kinda getting settled again.

3. I just watched He’s Just Not That Into You. I liked it. For the purpose of that romantic comedy business, it was good, but only if that’s your thing (and you’re one of those 27 Dresses or Ps. I Love You kinda person). Anyway, I have this total dreamy outlook on life, and maybe it’s not such a horrible thing; but in any case, all the wonderful stories you hear are never the case. never. unless you’re the exception.

4. Speaking of love. Last week was quite a wild day/night. Memorial Day weekend. I was with my friend Jenn all day (we’re always together) and we decided to make a trip to Costco Wholesale! I love that place. But that day we were kinda just wantering and walked by the cell phone booth.  The guys there were like, “Hey, you guys interested in getting a cell phone?”  Jenn wasn’t, but I always am 🙂 So we stopped to chat and all that fun stuff.  We were talking and the one kid who was working there (Justin) was telling how he has this crappy phone (ironic for working at a cell phone hut) and we joked about jacking a digital camera and duct-taping it to the back. It was fun times but then he said if we had any questions, we should give him a call. He wrote his name and number on the card and handed it to me O_O! Gasp. We walked away and it was just kinda hilarious. [It gets long…click for more]

Before we left, we decided to come back to the hut and make sure it was his number we got and not the hut. It was kinda the creepy stalker move, but he said it was his. Jenn ended up putting her number in his phone, and he said that later there was gonna be his Israeli party and that we should go.  We had a barbecue to attend later, but he’d call with the details.

The barbecue was great. Everyone came back from school pretty much, and it was pretty much a nice gathering. But then somewhere in there Justin starts txting Jenn intermittently.  By the end of the night, we’re sitting there debating going to this party. The party was kinda dying down, so we decided to go. Who knows, maybe we’ll have some fun.

We’re talking with Justin and he’s telling us to go about 30-40 min out to this mall to meet him. We’re almost there when he decides that it’d be easier to just meet at the party. Great. We had to back quite a bit because turns out the party was kinda in the other direction from where we were, and actually pretty much down in the City (Philadelphia).  Awesome. I have a house down there. Why couldn’t he just have said that.

Anyway. We drive and get to the address and this guy kinda comes up to the car and asks if we’re here for Mira‘s party. We’re kinda like, um- we’re looking for Justin (since we don’t know anyone). But funny. Justin and his crew didn’t even get there yet, even through we went 1.5x the distance to get there. We parked and waited. Jenn‘s calling him and telling him to hurry up and all that, and all we get back are these LAME ass excuses. But eventually I see some guys creeping up on my car and it was them trying to scare us. Woo. It worked…NOT.

Well we get to the party and Justin introduces us to some of his friends. We’re hanging out outside and then the guy hosting the party tells people to get inside so we’re not all out in the front of the house. It’s a chill place with a DJ and all. We get into the kitchen and there are drinks lined up all over the stove and everything. Justin grabs little cups for me and Jenn (Jenn gave me her cup) and he pours some Raspberry Vodka in mine.  I’m not really the super excited for drinking, but I wasn’t gonna let them put me down for that (maybe not the best reason. but oh well? ) Everyone’s doing introductions and chatting in the kitchen, and that’s when I start talking to Justin’s one friend Hanny.  He’s Egyptian. Exotic. Hahahaa. But after all that, Jenn and I are out by the DJ and just kinda chilling and Hanny goes up to her and whispers something in her ear. She just gets loud and was like – why dont you just tell her yourself?! Jenn then whispers to me that he think’s I’m really cute.

So we start talking and all that. It’s kinda a crazy thing. Not that the story thus far hasn’t been. But a little later, Jenn and I end up outside with Justin and Hanny. Justin starts putting the moves on Jenn and then they start trying to get me and Hanny making out. [Confession] I have never been kissed. [/Confession] It just got a whole pile awkward and all the people around didn’t help the pressure. I’m way too uptight for this. I’m not as outgoing as Jenn. I’m everything not for the situation. I’ll save the details here, but let’s just say I had my first kiss with someone I just met and then some >_<

Congratulations Jeanne, you’re picking up on Jenn habits.  By now, he already had his hat on me and we’re just kinda wandering around together. Some dancing here or there. One point, we’re in the back of the house where a few people were kinda just hanging out. The hat was falling and he goes to fix it and place it back on my head, only to spill his drink down my dress! That gets me, and Jenn heard me. She thought that I threw up on him or something, but I walk over to her and grab her hand, run it down my dress and tell her, “Jenn, I glisten!” That was a LOLFEST.

Towards the end of the night, there’s a birthday cake (because it happens to be a birthday party) and Mira starts shaking up this champagne bottle. Pops the cork and starts spraying everyone with it…i was drenched down the back. So I’m covered in alcohol, and it was getting late, so we decided to head out.  We’re trying to say our goodbyes to “our boys” and Hanny gets my number.

This is a book now. So I think I’ll stop for now. There’s a next day event. Movie at Justin‘s…crazy night.
