NSA

I just finished the week after spring break. This post will either be incredibly long or I will end up making it into more than one.

Break began after Molec on the 4th. I made it home that night after my own wandering around places (I think looking for shoes). Saturday morning was spent with Amy, Jenn and Amanda at the Philadelphia Premium Outlets (which are not really in Philly at all. Stupid). Forever 21 was having their grand opening then and the first 200 in line get a gift card guaranteed at least $10. A handicapped parking job later, we made it 🙂

IMG_20110307_144747Next few days were spent bumming around and going to the diner with Jenn and Amanda and things of that nature. I can’t recall what really happened though. Monday rolled around and I went to Hoboken, NJ with Lenny and Jimmy to visit Carlo’s Bakery (ie. Cake Boss!).  We were in line for a little over half an hour and then went in.

IMG_20110307_153815IMG_20110307_160351I spent just under $30 for 6 cannolis, strawberry tart, 3 lobster tails, small tiramisu, red velvet cupcake with cream cheese icing…I think that was it. It was very delicious. That adventure ended in a Cracker Barrel dinner and that was it. I went to Amanda’s afterwards to share the goods. This is where it all began.

We were watching Pretty Little Liars, and there was the scene when Spencer is reading on her chaise. It’s a beautiful piece of furniture which Amanda would love to own. We started browsing the internet at Ikea, Walmart, Target and all sorts of places for a cheap one. Then we pull up Craigslist. I’ve had some interesting luck on there- but all good experiences overall.

Jenn left for Orlando that following morning, so I stopped by before she left for her cannoli.  After getting back, Amanda and I kept browsing Craigslist for various things. I wanted an iPod. We were going to make a day of picking up things from Craig. Some Coach bags, an iPod and furniture later…

IMG_20110309_234309A few days of interesting things. Diner with Rob. Best coffee chocolate milkshake thing ever. Thursday was rainy and productive. That night though, after more Craigslist browsing, I got the idea to start reading the casual encounters section. Within the first few clicks, I found a very attractive male and sent him to Amanda. She suggested I send him an email. The things she would like to do if she were not in a committed relationship. Live vicariously. We all do that through each other to an extent, don’t we. Not that people know me, or that I even know me- but, "I never do that…I NEVER do that; I nevverrr do that." That sums it up, right? Anyway, I eventually responded to the listing. I figured it was spring break and I need to live a little? Something like that.

We discussed what would all happen with this. I told Amanda he looked like a Chris. Fast forward, I woke up Friday morning with something in my email. "Hi Jeanne, I’m Chris." Biggest laugh of my life. But pretty much, we exchanged emails all day and decided to meet up that night (since there were plans for Saturday night already.) This is the part where this entry title comes in.

Lou was in town that day, so I was partially out with the lovely couple most of the day. End of the day came around and I was about to head out to meet Chris. Part of me kind of excited since he looks great on paper (theoretically, with electronic paper, and that’s both personality and image). The other half thinking- remember that Craigslist Killer movie? Not sure what to expect out of it all, or if I could even go through with it.

I ended up leaving from Amanda’s. I sent her a screenshot of the email exchange where all his information is present, should anything happen and need to know. Luckily, I made it (hence being here now) in one piece. I even got a hug on my arrival 🙂 We went up to his apartment and watched a mix of tv and movies for a few hours and just talked. It was weird in the sense that I just met this kid (technically, he’s anything but a kid, but that’s what I call everyone) but at the same time, something clicked.

We started nodding off around 3-ish during No country for old men (missed the ending), but he asked if I was ok driving back- if not, I was more than welcome to crash. Crash. Sleep sounded so good, but this was still the first time meeting him. We both had to be up early, and I was hella lazy drive, so I crashed…and lived to tell about it.

Saturday, got up to go home as Chris had chiro. Ran a few errands with my mom. Went to Fyre with Amanda and Lou, and then went to Elyse’s 21st birthday bash. Not a bad day.

I’m summarizing this last part here only because I already fell asleep sitting at the TV writing this and will get back to/reorganize later. Yesterday (as in the Friday) I was out with Kelsey most of the day after class. Did a small barbecue at the ambulance. Went to see Chris again. We watched some more TV, flipping through a lot of weird stuff. Ended up on some show about Polygamy and we both fell asleep on the couch. Haha. He got up and was like. Wow. I don’t want to cut this short, but I need to get some sleep. You’re more than welcome to crash. Oh, and I wanted to crash. But I decided not to get myself too comfortable so soon and put up with a drive back. He walked me out and I left.

I should probably split this up…but I’m gonna go pee and go to bed. Peace

Absolute Insanity

We’re winding down on the week and coming up on Thanksgiving Break.   I finished my physics for the semester (yesss) and I have a Physics Quiz Friday, Nature paper due Monday (and lab that day) then Organic Chemistry Tuesday. Then I’m free.

This is where I crazy myself more so than what I already had.  I was Skyping Dave earlier.  Wasn’t even really chatting, more of the company (but it made me super happy either way) but I got an idea. More so urged on by my friend Rob.  Dave is a 6 hour straight drive away.  I was gonna drive out to Pitt and pick up kids for Thanksgiving, but now I may change that.

This is a surprise.  I think THIS weekend, I’m driving out to ERIE to see Dave.  He’s gonna be driving back here Tuesday, but he has family things and I don’t really want to get in the way (since they were kinda there first) and my driving out to Pitt would conflict with him coming here (not seeing each other).  I may pass on Pitt this time, drive out to Dave this weekend as a surprise.  Then I can check off roadtrip from my life list, and I can understand the pain of this trek (what the fam had to do :P).

I’ve lost what little sanity I had, but I think I’m going through with this. High five. I hope I’m really not insane though. Crazy people are…crazy. Scary.

Hehe…well ok. That’s my sharing for tonight. I have huge plans for a while now. I’ll keep you all posted!

Summer of My Life

[edit] Wow. I’m a complete dumbass. Super apologies to Brad Fischetti. [/edit]

Wow. The weekend and YESTERDAY! Let me tell you.

I’ve been mushing with Dave. The day after the last post, I actually got to squeeze myself into this SUPER busy schedule. Story! (Not that this really isn’t a nice big story session anyway). Anyway. Dave’s moving across state on the 22nd of July. It’s for school, so it’s kinda important (why couldn’t Philly accept him u_u then he could be here, with me XD ).  I’ve known this pretty much since I met him, but that day draws awful near.  Because he’s leaving so soon, everyone else that’s known him first (not fair) already has plans with him before he has to leave.

So anyway, I saw him Tuesday the 14th. We went to Core Creek Park, and it was beautiful. He’s pretty too ^^ We walked around and chilled for a few hours, but then he had to go off and meet his sister (which I kinda distracted him from), but I didn’t want him to go. Seems like for good reason too. I’m not gonna get to see him before he leaves. Once he’s out there, that’s a 6-8 hour drive if I wanted to (but will definitely do sometime). But also, once he’s out there, he’s gonna be busy with other things u_u FML…Every time one of these things happens, I keep telling him how lucky he is that I like him (otherwise it just wouldn’t fly) but really…I’M the lucky one here <3

Yesterday, I finally decided to run up to Scranton to visit Lenny 🙂 I adore that boy because he’s so gay and wonderful. We went to Nay Aug Park (yay parks!) and walked around there a bit.  We took this au naturale path/stairs down to the big rocks by the water. I slipped and fell on my ass going down the steps. Hilarious when everyone saw. There was a giant river-creek thing going on, and there was people out past the railing, so we hopped the fence and decided to adventure.  Ran into a few couples cuddling or straddling-sucking face.  Besides that, it was gorgeous. Massive rocks and small little waterfall. We rock-hopped for a while and even found some coal to write our names on this one rock (it’s better than all the graffiti that was there).

We hopped for a while thinking we could find civilization at some point…Nope. We got to a point and I had to pee. So we figured we’d turn around because we knew there was a way back that way.

After that, we went to meet up with his friend Melissa.  As we’re driving, we go by the one bar, Tink’s. There’s a giant tour bus outside and he looks at me and says, “OMG, LFO is playing at TINK’S tonight!” I’m thinking, wait. LFO? The Lyte Funky Ones? And it was crazy. They were 1 way streets, so we kept going, and go by Rite-Aid.  BRAD FISCHETTI was walking in. Lenny‘s freaking out saying how he’s pretty sure LFO just walked into Rite-Aid. Of course we hit all the red lights, but eventually get around and park.  We’re rushing to get there, but this nice couple stops us to ask for a picture. But they asked if we were in a rush, and we explained the thing. The girl’s boyfriend was like, “LFO? Isn’t that the band from the 90s?” It was great. We took the picture and then started walking around. BRAD was walking around with 2 chicks (he had his stage pass on, so it’s kinda obv.)

Lenny and I walked around to Tink’s and kinda loitered for a while. Called some people, sent some txts, and took some pictures! Haha. We were totally creeping. But I have the boys in some creeping paparazzi shots. Lots of back shots, but it got too weird for me to try and be face to face while taking pictures of these guys. They have big bouncer body guards. We took a break and met up with Melissa and got our drinks.  Then we proceeded to walk back to Tink’s and hang outside the courthouse and watch. Lame bitches were behind us, so my photo creeping wasn’t as good (they were judging me, and I didn’t like that) but at one point BRAD was 2 feet from us, sitting on the same long bench row. He was wearing True Religion jeans. Pretty sexy.

We eventually left…eventually. I took Lenny back since he had dinner plans, and I went home to Jenn‘s. We hung out for some odd hours and I went home.  Pretty cool day, I must say. OH! And LFO is gonna be back up in the area tomorrow- might do some more creeping around, unless I feel like paying 10 bucks to see the show. Hah

Finally Beginning

On the 25th of June, 2009, our world cried. At first, we lost Farrah Fawcett, but later to find that we had lost our King of Pop, Michael Jackson.  The day began with me prepping for my final exam in Microbiology (eww, gross) and just getting out of there. This is the official beginning of my summer, since I only had a week off between the end of the semester and the start of classes again. SUMMER, HERE I COME!

I left and went home. My mother’s birthday was the day before, so my brother and I gave her a box from Kays 🙂

Birthday Ring
Birthday Ring

With this ring, I have also decided that I am selling my beloved phone.  It was a great time we had together, but financially it is not in my best interest.

We took my mom out for dinner after the gifting. I actually ran into Rob and his family while we were there 😛 That’s when we first heard about MJ.

So the day was great up until that news.

The next day was pretty exciting. Besides listening to Michael Jackson music all day with Jenn, we ran errands and went down to my house at school to pick up some things. From there, we went to Joji‘s ^^

I’ve been hearing about Joji since about 2006, so it was pretty exciting to meet him.  He’s a half-Jap amazing jerk. Haha. He spent the last year in Japan, and so I envy him to an extent.

We started off by playing Floating Candy, but just switched to Kings.  That was going pretty until towards the end of the 2nd round.  Jenn ran off to the bathroom, and as she did that, I started feeling kinda sick and left the room.  Jenn unfortunately locked the bathroom door and I ended up puking right there >_< I tried so hard to keep it down.  I eventually got in, with only a handful of what was left, and finished my business and cleaned up. I sobered up pretty much right there.  I just felt AWFUL for doing that to Joji‘s floor (and he even cleaned it up). That made me feel terrible and I helped him finish up the cleaning as Jenn was hanging over the toilet.

That aside, we asian bonded. I’m his bitch :O I like him. He’s my new BFF.

I ended up getting to bed at around 3 something in the morning, and then getting up at 6:30.  Eventually, we made our way to IHOP which was yummy, but Jenn still wasn’t feeling well so it wasn’t as fun as it might have been. Joji drew a fantastic picture on the back of the placemat (it is officially framed, btw) and then we hung around for a bit before leaving. It was a pretty great time, in my opinion. Good times with great people.

Being there though, all the little Japanese things Joji had brought back so many memories.  It’s sparked my love of Japan again. That night, Joji was speaking with his mother (who is where he gets his asian from) in <<Nihongo>> and that was seriously the best eargasm I’ve had in a long time.  I was laying on the floor of the bathroom at the time and literally rolled over towards the door to listen.  I wish I were fluent enough to hold a surprise Japanese conversation. Haha. Watashi wa neji desu ^________^ But yeah, I’ve been listening to all my T.M. Revolution, Iceman and rest of my J-Pop collection since and it just feels so right. Thank you, for bringing me back.

All I do now a days is hang out with Jenn. That’s what happened last summer too. We’re the only jobless ones and get along fantastically, so why not.  We went down to the city to visit the kids at orientation. Met up with Jake and got some free food.  Then met up with Janine and eventually trekked our way back home.  I have to go back down in the morning to see my advisor, and maybe go to the Crayola Factory with Jenn, Kelsey and Devin? We’ll see.

I’m working on a new album too. I like the way the NextGen gallery works with WordPress, but the function isn’t as friendly as my other one (I’m just more used to it) and there are some features that I can configure on that one that I can’t here. Check it out! Like everything else, it’s a work in progress.

The Exception

I have a lot to write, kinda. So we’ll see how far this gets. I have things to be doing (that I should be, but just don’t seem to want to. haha).

1. My phone came in 2 days after the order. It’s wonderful.

2. I wanted to partition my hard drive so I can run Windows 7, but I ran into some trouble with some limitations. I tried some things to get around it and ended up wiping out my entire hard drive >_< After the shock and coming to terms with what happened (There goes about 150gb of my life u_u), I put Vista back on, and then was able to partition the drive (since there’s nothing there now. haha, yay.) Then My brother’s friend came over with the DVD and now I’m dual-booting Windows 7! It’s pretty great.  I didn’t have much of an issue with Vista, personally, but 7 is nice. I’m just in the works of kinda getting settled again.

3. I just watched He’s Just Not That Into You. I liked it. For the purpose of that romantic comedy business, it was good, but only if that’s your thing (and you’re one of those 27 Dresses or Ps. I Love You kinda person). Anyway, I have this total dreamy outlook on life, and maybe it’s not such a horrible thing; but in any case, all the wonderful stories you hear are never the case. never. unless you’re the exception.

4. Speaking of love. Last week was quite a wild day/night. Memorial Day weekend. I was with my friend Jenn all day (we’re always together) and we decided to make a trip to Costco Wholesale! I love that place. But that day we were kinda just wantering and walked by the cell phone booth.  The guys there were like, “Hey, you guys interested in getting a cell phone?”  Jenn wasn’t, but I always am 🙂 So we stopped to chat and all that fun stuff.  We were talking and the one kid who was working there (Justin) was telling how he has this crappy phone (ironic for working at a cell phone hut) and we joked about jacking a digital camera and duct-taping it to the back. It was fun times but then he said if we had any questions, we should give him a call. He wrote his name and number on the card and handed it to me O_O! Gasp. We walked away and it was just kinda hilarious. [It gets long…click for more] More shenanigans? Oh, what a LONNNG night it’ll be!
