My Own Number 23

Here is a two part entry. There’s a break in the post (scroll down) for the second topic, which was written later and about the birthday!

IMG_20110204_140514Ever since James, I’ve had my own crazy thing about coincidence. In my own little code way, I gave him the label of “130” (which originated from J130, now without the letter). Like Jim Carrey’s movie, The Number 23, I slowly found myself seeing this number everywhere. Part of it was, now that I designated meaning to this number, I will notice it more often when it’s there. But I still think a part of it is ridiculous how often I ran run into it. From clocks to all the little things. Exhibit A: closet opposite the girls bathroom I walked out of (taken last week)

Then there was Dave. There’s a lot more behind that one, but I just want to note how many more people I have met named Dave, and why the name is tormenting me (not devastating, but I can’t believe how often I encounter it nowadays).

  1. Dave C. from home (with a similar voice intonation, might I add)
  2. Dave Fry
  3. Dave Dry
  4. Dave Hayes
  5. Unique Hair Dave
  6. Temple Camera Lens Dave
  7. T-Mobile Dave
  8. THE Dave
  9. Walmart Security Dave
  10. Roomate’s Boyfriend Dave (David)
  11. Club Dave
  12. District Head of Rite Aid Dave
  13. District Head of Giant Dave
  14. Mom’s Nurse Dave…
  15. Foursquare Dave Dave

Kicker. Today I went in for an interview at Doylestown Hospital.  Head of Operations (Chantel) decided to give me a tour of the place after a nice chat;  first place I was brought was into the back.

Chantel: Jeanne, I’d like you to meet Dave.
Dave: Very nice to meet you. *shake hands*
Chantel: [describing some of the operations and then telling me about Dave some more and what he’s doing. Looking at NEJOM is what I saw.]

On the way out of the back…
Dave: It was nice meeting you Smile

Riiight. There’s got to be at least 3 more, but that’s what I have for now.

Today is Lenny’s 21st Birthday. 1. Happy Birthday. 2….idk

The whole presents thing was not easy. The one suggestion I did get was something I already got for him last year. I have a nice card, made him a Reese’s dessert cake and hung a Dora banner that says PARTY * FIESTA.

Tonight is also 2 other birthdays (Lisa and Matt) and the 3V3 Basketball Tourney.  We’re leaving early to do birthday shenanigans, but now I’m feeling terrible. I just got back not too long ago, and Alex was sitting on the couch. She’s sick and very feverish. She’s not sure if she’s going to be able to go out and feels bad about it. I feel terrible not because I’m still sick myself (it’s the weirdest condition (set of conditions plural) ever) but because I was contagious.

Not sure how tonight will go. Physio exam Friday. Naked clin skills tomorrow.

Dreams

Fries

We’ve been on a fry binge lately. I had this dream last night that Alex was about to go somewhere but wanted to give me and Lenny our gifts. I got a bag of fries, and Lenny got a bag of fries and hashbrowns. Hahaha

The night before, I had this dream, I was back in London. I ran into Dougal and Gammer and we were hanging out in town. We were talking about the release of Anybody Else But you.

I started talking with Dougal about CDs and he was asking me what I had. I told him honestly that I really didn’t have many, but I was a huge fan of their work and all the Clubland things lately. He said I could probably have one of his.

I was excited- he’s a Dj, he’s loaded with music. But we were looking around and he asked if I just wanted to come up to his place and grab it. I asked him where his place was, and he pointed to the one tower apartment. There were ads plastered on the top with DJs, and he actually lived behind a part of his own face (hahah). But I’m thinking that I wasn’t doing anything else so we decided to just go. He went to tell Gammer and we started headed towards his building.

We got in and there was a group of us traveling through the lobby and all the escalators and elevators. He got ahead of me and when I finally made it up to his room, there were people around. I ran into Sarah Chau and we started talking about Arcadia and studying abroad. I don’t remember much else- I just remember that it was the best thing in the world getting to hang out with Dougal and Gammer.

HAPPY

Tee hee…do you know what today is? It’s Dave’s birthday. He’s getting really old, which makes me feel more like a child. Gross. But whatever. I got him to get online last night and count down to midnight. Our clocks weren’t synched so he was late. I got a little excited and didn’t get to finished typing “birthday” without going past the time so I only sent HAPPY, hence the title here.

Double Iced Krimpets

I sent out a poster, some dunkaroos, tastykakes, chocolate, zombie kit, inflatable cane…I think that was all. The poster arrived yesterday, the box arrived when he wasn’t home but it’s there now. I wish I could see the reaction of opening the box. I tried splicing up an old spice guy commercial so send as a birthday message, but it came out a little rough. I sent it earlier as a birthday email. That might just be some infringement if I upload that; trust me, the idea is epic.

So we spent about an hour chatting and studying. He seriously makes everything better. During our little chat, he  promised me a dinner party. YOU HEAR THAT D? I’m holding you to it. But seriously, I would much rather just be out there than here. MISSJOO

So anyway. Halloween came and went. I had a few exams so I didn’t really go out. Jimmy came down to see Lenny in a fabulous surprise way. Story goes, Jimmy was gonna take the bus down after class and arrive in the city around 8pm. At about 3pm, Alex sends me a text asking if I was home and that we need to talk. I was like- uhh? But she told me that Jimmy was coming down. He got here around 4 and we helped him set up; Lenny got out of work around 5. This is the chaos that ensued.

Anyway…I’m sitting here right now, watching some TV and trying to relax. Planning some more shebangs.

Summer of My Life

[edit] Wow. I’m a complete dumbass. Super apologies to Brad Fischetti. [/edit]

Wow. The weekend and YESTERDAY! Let me tell you.

I’ve been mushing with Dave. The day after the last post, I actually got to squeeze myself into this SUPER busy schedule. Story! (Not that this really isn’t a nice big story session anyway). Anyway. Dave’s moving across state on the 22nd of July. It’s for school, so it’s kinda important (why couldn’t Philly accept him u_u then he could be here, with me XD ).  I’ve known this pretty much since I met him, but that day draws awful near.  Because he’s leaving so soon, everyone else that’s known him first (not fair) already has plans with him before he has to leave.

So anyway, I saw him Tuesday the 14th. We went to Core Creek Park, and it was beautiful. He’s pretty too ^^ We walked around and chilled for a few hours, but then he had to go off and meet his sister (which I kinda distracted him from), but I didn’t want him to go. Seems like for good reason too. I’m not gonna get to see him before he leaves. Once he’s out there, that’s a 6-8 hour drive if I wanted to (but will definitely do sometime). But also, once he’s out there, he’s gonna be busy with other things u_u FML…Every time one of these things happens, I keep telling him how lucky he is that I like him (otherwise it just wouldn’t fly) but really…I’M the lucky one here <3

Yesterday, I finally decided to run up to Scranton to visit Lenny 🙂 I adore that boy because he’s so gay and wonderful. We went to Nay Aug Park (yay parks!) and walked around there a bit.  We took this au naturale path/stairs down to the big rocks by the water. I slipped and fell on my ass going down the steps. Hilarious when everyone saw. There was a giant river-creek thing going on, and there was people out past the railing, so we hopped the fence and decided to adventure.  Ran into a few couples cuddling or straddling-sucking face.  Besides that, it was gorgeous. Massive rocks and small little waterfall. We rock-hopped for a while and even found some coal to write our names on this one rock (it’s better than all the graffiti that was there).

We hopped for a while thinking we could find civilization at some point…Nope. We got to a point and I had to pee. So we figured we’d turn around because we knew there was a way back that way.

After that, we went to meet up with his friend Melissa.  As we’re driving, we go by the one bar, Tink’s. There’s a giant tour bus outside and he looks at me and says, “OMG, LFO is playing at TINK’S tonight!” I’m thinking, wait. LFO? The Lyte Funky Ones? And it was crazy. They were 1 way streets, so we kept going, and go by Rite-Aid.  BRAD FISCHETTI was walking in. Lenny‘s freaking out saying how he’s pretty sure LFO just walked into Rite-Aid. Of course we hit all the red lights, but eventually get around and park.  We’re rushing to get there, but this nice couple stops us to ask for a picture. But they asked if we were in a rush, and we explained the thing. The girl’s boyfriend was like, “LFO? Isn’t that the band from the 90s?” It was great. We took the picture and then started walking around. BRAD was walking around with 2 chicks (he had his stage pass on, so it’s kinda obv.)

Lenny and I walked around to Tink’s and kinda loitered for a while. Called some people, sent some txts, and took some pictures! Haha. We were totally creeping. But I have the boys in some creeping paparazzi shots. Lots of back shots, but it got too weird for me to try and be face to face while taking pictures of these guys. They have big bouncer body guards. We took a break and met up with Melissa and got our drinks.  Then we proceeded to walk back to Tink’s and hang outside the courthouse and watch. Lame bitches were behind us, so my photo creeping wasn’t as good (they were judging me, and I didn’t like that) but at one point BRAD was 2 feet from us, sitting on the same long bench row. He was wearing True Religion jeans. Pretty sexy.

We eventually left…eventually. I took Lenny back since he had dinner plans, and I went home to Jenn‘s. We hung out for some odd hours and I went home.  Pretty cool day, I must say. OH! And LFO is gonna be back up in the area tomorrow- might do some more creeping around, unless I feel like paying 10 bucks to see the show. Hah
