Life After

I’ve been pseudo productive the past few days.  I’m feeling pretty reflective at the moment.  I haven’t really been sleeping well…or at all, sort of. Reminds me of the first few weeks I spent in this house. I hope I don’t have to have an adjustment period each time I am here. I miss my dreams, and I really miss the rested feeling.

First off, I moved back down to Philadelphia for this week. Yes, for the week. Kelsey is on her week cruise and so she’s out of the house; Janine asked if I would stay so she would not be alone in the house. Not having any prior engagements being location based, I agreed. Kaitlyn was originally planning on coming down as a part of her road trip to NC, but that fell through 🙁 I came down Monday before noon and have been here since. While Janine was at class, I cleaned the entirety of the kitchen and bathroom (besides the toilet…we didn’t have a brush for that).  We also went to the gym somewhere after 4:30.  Did some cardio and lifting; when 6 came around, I was persuaded to participate in the Butts and Guts class. Worst decision ever. Haha. Ok. It’s just been a while since I’ve had a serious work out like that.  I feel so incapacitated. Each sneeze, cough or belch is a heart attack of pain. I love the burn, but this is terrible.

Tuesday, I was supposed to meet up with Jennifer at LOVE PARK but then with my car, there was not a good outlook on free parking. Sorry, baby. I ended up going to Fairmount Park instead. I’ve never been there before, so it was an adventure. I put on my Opening Acts playlist (Rookie, Go Crash and Kiernan) and walked around for about 2.5 hours. Looking at the map now, I covered a minimal amount of park in that time u_u;; I did take a good chunk of pictures though. CLICK! That was pretty much Tuesday. Today (I can’t believe it’s Wednesday already) I didn’t do much. Or at least I stayed indoors. I have the biggest trouble moving around (Ron hosts a mean class). I’s more of transitioning from sitting to standing or vice versa. I watched a small chunk of Daria (I adore her.), did my nails (toes and hands), wrote a note to Dave.

D. I haven’t had any contact with him in about a week? The last time was a mere span of about 5-txts each.  Well I wrote a little note on this little sheet about 3″x2″. haha. It’s short and to the point, and that’s sending tomorrow, and maybe I’ll hear from him.  It’s times like this that I wonder if things would be different if I had a Myspace or Facebook, especially.

It’s been a good 6 months since I’ve dropped Facebook, at least.  Life without it. It’s a very different thing. I had a problem, constantly checking it, just hoping for something new. Nothing ever happened, and just now, I found some people I can kinda relate to: Kids’ Mom.  Through all the friends I had on there, there’s only the few I can count on one hand that I keep in touch with? There were PILES of my friends that asked me, “Jeanne, since when were you not on facebook?” MONTHS after it happens. Even after we had group discussions on it! Honestly, a piece of me died (I guess I didn’t matter that much) but I’m over it. I’m secure enough to know who I’ve got when I need them most <3 Ok. So I’m out of the loop, and that’s probably the hardest challenge. I wasn’t technically invited to Steve’s Barbecue, or know of other events. Luckily, my friends are amazing and have started relaying messages to me that I need to know. All I miss out on are the pictures that everyone else posts and the latest on who is or isn’t dating who.  It’s so weird to see how powerful those sites have become. Is it really hurting me by not having it? Probably to an extent- yes.

Each day, I’m one step closer to falling back into the routine of the internet. I used to think I was the internet. I was everywhere; I did everything. Thinking about it, I think I was the one who broke up with him. Always room for reconciliation, but it’s just a matter of when. I’ll admit, Dave is probably the one reason that I would break my plans of my comeback (I promise, it’s a great plan.)  Assuming those plans don’t fall through, it’s gonna be grand, since none of my local friends know about it. Hm…I think about 6 people know, actually. I’m still waiting for a response on that though…*high hopes* But fuck it, I might just come back if that falls.

Since Kaitlyn isn’t coming down anymore, I think I’m heading back tomorrow sometime. I might hit up another part of Fairmount Park before going back. I haven’t decided yet.  Maybe the Art Museum while I’m there too ^^ I’m such a tourist for actually living here; always taking pictures and never actually seeing the places people come to sight see. Haha.

SHIT! How could I forget! Why do I ramble so much? 2 topics left. 1. Comments. 2. PHONE <3. You know me. First off, about comments. Remember when it was a huge deal to have comments? When we were all raking in double digits of legit, spam-free comments? Oh the days! Ksusha, Evan (Brandi), Krystina, Myun, Kokoro, Mitsu, Hoshi…HIKARU! Damn. Back then, I really was the internet. Ps. I miss Hikaru soooo much still. I wish she’d come back. Anyway. Comments. Now a days, I write, 0 comments, but it’s ok. I write for me- to help me organize some thoughts and get them out. It’s not about seeking approval, trying to uber impress someone or anything. Sure, it’d be nice to get some input like I used to here or there. The input from neutral parties I trust that I can’t even bring up to the closest of my IRL friends (that’s almost sad 🙁 ) but whatever.

Phone. October 9th, 2009. My calendar is marked. Sony Ericsson gave me another technogasm. Satio. I will molest the hell out of him. Jenn knows…I licked lemony JB at Chipotle 😛 My vice, I know. But that’s a quirk you either accept or not.

I never uploaded pics either. I might do that now until I decide to get to bed. I’ll be sure to share 🙂 PCE

On Holiday

Things have been going pretty well since I last posted. I don’t even remember when that was. But over July 4th, I drove my mom down to Annapolis to visit one of her friends.  They did their chatting while I kinda lounged around the apartment for a bit.  I got into this huge argument and falling out with some guy I just met (most ridiculous thing I have ever done. It was like arguing with a rock) BUTTT it was during that time I started chatting with this one kid Dave that I kinda met about a month before hand? It’s a weird circumstance, but he’s a realll sweetheart and me likes him 🙂

Moving along. Between my txts and hanging out with Jenn, there really isn’t much going on. I went to Color Me Mine (pics later or something) and that was cool. I bought a few books (started one tonight) and trying to not be too anti-productive. I went to Missy’s grad party yesterday too! Lots of people I have not seen in a long time, so that was most fun.

I officially sold my phone today; shipped and everything. That money is going towards next month’s rent or my mom’s birthday present. Haha. I need some income soon. But that aside, I have a few field trips planned before my funds are completely wiped.

I should really do something more with my lazy fat ass.

Finally Beginning

On the 25th of June, 2009, our world cried. At first, we lost Farrah Fawcett, but later to find that we had lost our King of Pop, Michael Jackson.  The day began with me prepping for my final exam in Microbiology (eww, gross) and just getting out of there. This is the official beginning of my summer, since I only had a week off between the end of the semester and the start of classes again. SUMMER, HERE I COME!

I left and went home. My mother’s birthday was the day before, so my brother and I gave her a box from Kays 🙂

With this ring, I have also decided that I am selling my beloved phone.  It was a great time we had together, but financially it is not in my best interest.

We took my mom out for dinner after the gifting. I actually ran into Rob and his family while we were there 😛 That’s when we first heard about MJ.

So the day was great up until that news.

The next day was pretty exciting. Besides listening to Michael Jackson music all day with Jenn, we ran errands and went down to my house at school to pick up some things. From there, we went to Joji‘s ^^

I’ve been hearing about Joji since about 2006, so it was pretty exciting to meet him.  He’s a half-Jap amazing jerk. Haha. He spent the last year in Japan, and so I envy him to an extent.

We started off by playing Floating Candy, but just switched to Kings.  That was going pretty until towards the end of the 2nd round.  Jenn ran off to the bathroom, and as she did that, I started feeling kinda sick and left the room.  Jenn unfortunately locked the bathroom door and I ended up puking right there >_< I tried so hard to keep it down.  I eventually got in, with only a handful of what was left, and finished my business and cleaned up. I sobered up pretty much right there.  I just felt AWFUL for doing that to Joji‘s floor (and he even cleaned it up). That made me feel terrible and I helped him finish up the cleaning as Jenn was hanging over the toilet.

That aside, we asian bonded. I’m his bitch :O I like him. He’s my new BFF.

I ended up getting to bed at around 3 something in the morning, and then getting up at 6:30.  Eventually, we made our way to IHOP which was yummy, but Jenn still wasn’t feeling well so it wasn’t as fun as it might have been. Joji drew a fantastic picture on the back of the placemat (it is officially framed, btw) and then we hung around for a bit before leaving. It was a pretty great time, in my opinion. Good times with great people.

Being there though, all the little Japanese things Joji had brought back so many memories.  It’s sparked my love of Japan again. That night, Joji was speaking with his mother (who is where he gets his asian from) in <<Nihongo>> and that was seriously the best eargasm I’ve had in a long time.  I was laying on the floor of the bathroom at the time and literally rolled over towards the door to listen.  I wish I were fluent enough to hold a surprise Japanese conversation. Haha. Watashi wa neji desu ^________^ But yeah, I’ve been listening to all my T.M. Revolution, Iceman and rest of my J-Pop collection since and it just feels so right. Thank you, for bringing me back.

All I do now a days is hang out with Jenn. That’s what happened last summer too. We’re the only jobless ones and get along fantastically, so why not.  We went down to the city to visit the kids at orientation. Met up with Jake and got some free food.  Then met up with Janine and eventually trekked our way back home.  I have to go back down in the morning to see my advisor, and maybe go to the Crayola Factory with Jenn, Kelsey and Devin? We’ll see.

I’m working on a new album too. I like the way the NextGen gallery works with WordPress, but the function isn’t as friendly as my other one (I’m just more used to it) and there are some features that I can configure on that one that I can’t here. Check it out! Like everything else, it’s a work in progress.

The Exception

I have a lot to write, kinda. So we’ll see how far this gets. I have things to be doing (that I should be, but just don’t seem to want to. haha).

1. My phone came in 2 days after the order. It’s wonderful.

2. I wanted to partition my hard drive so I can run Windows 7, but I ran into some trouble with some limitations. I tried some things to get around it and ended up wiping out my entire hard drive >_< After the shock and coming to terms with what happened (There goes about 150gb of my life u_u), I put Vista back on, and then was able to partition the drive (since there’s nothing there now. haha, yay.) Then My brother’s friend came over with the DVD and now I’m dual-booting Windows 7! It’s pretty great.  I didn’t have much of an issue with Vista, personally, but 7 is nice. I’m just in the works of kinda getting settled again.

3. I just watched He’s Just Not That Into You. I liked it. For the purpose of that romantic comedy business, it was good, but only if that’s your thing (and you’re one of those 27 Dresses or Ps. I Love You kinda person). Anyway, I have this total dreamy outlook on life, and maybe it’s not such a horrible thing; but in any case, all the wonderful stories you hear are never the case. never. unless you’re the exception.

4. Speaking of love. Last week was quite a wild day/night. Memorial Day weekend. I was with my friend Jenn all day (we’re always together) and we decided to make a trip to Costco Wholesale! I love that place. But that day we were kinda just wantering and walked by the cell phone booth.  The guys there were like, “Hey, you guys interested in getting a cell phone?”  Jenn wasn’t, but I always am 🙂 So we stopped to chat and all that fun stuff.  We were talking and the one kid who was working there (Justin) was telling how he has this crappy phone (ironic for working at a cell phone hut) and we joked about jacking a digital camera and duct-taping it to the back. It was fun times but then he said if we had any questions, we should give him a call. He wrote his name and number on the card and handed it to me O_O! Gasp. We walked away and it was just kinda hilarious. [It gets long…click for more] More shenanigans? Oh, what a LONNNG night it’ll be!

Horribly Distracted

So I have successfully complete my first year of college. About 3 weeks ago, now.  I had a week off and I started my summer classes u_u I have an exam and a lab practical on Thursday, and I’ve been terribly distracted.

I have a need for technology.  I feel out of the loop if I’m not up to date.  One of my larger vices is cell phones x_x Reflecting back, I’ve had *counts*7 phones? I think that’s about right. Always hunting and dreaming, Sony had this phone that was in the works for the longest time. How I craved that piece of art.
Sony Ericsson Xperia X1.

Well it is officially in the mail and makes phone #8. I keep looking up mods and all the fun things about this phone. I hope it’s as great as they say!

With that, I should really get to my studies since my exam is in…um, 2 days 🙁 Wish me luck. I have tons of crazy updates to add later!
